On May 1, 2018, the collective electricity saved by our community of LED Jobsite customers surpassed 100,000,000 kWh!

We tracked, in real-time, the energy savings of own client’s construction projects.  We celebrated this great milestone on behalf of all of our clients. This is the equivalent to removing 16,000 cars off the road for one year, or powering 11,000 homes on an annual basis.

The milestone was reached in a little over two years, with the savings growing exponentially as adoption rates increase. If you monetize the savings using an average of 10 cents/kWh (national average), it adds up to $10M of savings in electricity costs.

“We are excited to be contributing to the energy savings in the construction industry,” says Brian Astl, president, Lind Equipment. “We knew what we were doing was essential to the industry and we are pleased to see how quickly it has caught on.”

It’s important today, he points out, for construction companies to pay attention to their jobsite carbon footprints. After decades of wasteful practices that are destructive to the environment, using LED Jobsite lights is a proactive step toward reducing the carbon footprint of construction sites.

As part of the celebration, we had a cake made in the shape of our Beacon360 Blaze award-winning patented light.

Thanks to all of our LED JObsite community for making this happen!
